Theodoro Scott is an associate in the Banking & Finance practice of Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown in the São Paulo office. Theodoro focuses on banking and credit transactions, especially cases involving fundraising with public and private financial institutions in Brazil and debt restructuring for private companies. He represents multilateral institutions, commercial banks, institutional lenders and project sponsors in such transactions. Theodoro also has extensive experience in cross -border financial transactions, especially in coordinating work with Mayer Brown in New York. He joined the firm in 2012 as an intern.
Experiência
- Advised Itaú BBA S.A. in the issuance of promissory notes for an electricity transmission company controlled by Control y Montajes Industriales Cymi, S.A. for the implementation of transmission lines in Maranhão and Piauí.
- Advised Banco Santander (Brazil) S.A. in various debt restructuring transactions, including: (i) Antonio Ruette Agroindustrial Ltda.; (ii) Enfil S.A. – Controle Ambiental; (iii) Usina Vista Alegre S.A.; (iv) Usina Goianésia S.A.; (v) Companhia de Concessão Rodoviária de Juiz de Fora – Rio; and (vi) Vinexpand Comércio de Bebidas.
- Advised Darby Administração de Investimentos Ltda., as manager of BMIF – Fundo de Investimento em Participações, in the due diligence process of Bioenergy – Geradora de Energia S.A., a wind power generation company located in the Northeast region of Brazil.
