Christian Roschmann

Christian served as Program Ambassador and as a member of the selection committee for the German Chancellor Fellowship Program of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation from 2018 to 2024. He sits on the Board of Directors of the German Brazilian Chamber of Industry and Commerce in São Paulo and serves as Senior Commissioner for Brazil for the LAV – Association for Latin America (Lateinamerika Verein e.V.). In these roles, he actively advances bilateral trade and investment between Germany and Brazil and shapes policy discussions at the intersection of regulation, capital flows, and market access.

Drawing on senior roles at leading international law firms in New York, Singapore, Frankfurt, and Munich, Christian advises clients across the full spectrum of inbound and outbound Brazil-related transactions. He regularly represents listed companies, German Mittelstand leaders, and private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies. Fluent in German and Portuguese and trained in both legal systems, he bridges regulatory, cultural, and negotiation dynamics to deliver pragmatic, execution-focused solutions. His approach combines rigorous risk assessment with deal creativity, enabling clients to unlock strategic opportunities, accelerate timetables, and close complex transactions with confidence.

Christian earned his law degree in Brazil from USP (Universidade de São Paulo) and his German law degree from LMU (Ludwig Maximilians Universität München). He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Kiel.
