Overview
Alfredo Ventura is senior counsel in the Employment & Benefits practice of Tauil & Chequer Advogados in the Rio de Janeiro office. Alfredo concentrates his practice on civil and labor in general, providing advice to local and foreign clients in the oil and gas industry. He has solid experience in actions and resolutions of individual and collective conflicts in labor area, diversity issues and also has experience in civil litigation in his former office.
Experience
- Advised a drilling company in several labor lawsuits filed by expatriates and Brazilian employees. He has substantially helped the company in complex expatriates and offshore employees that involve international labor legislation conflicts. With this guidance, the company has executed several favorable settlement agreements in labor suits with the most different pleads. Assisting the company yearly on the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements with Employees’ Union. Providing constant and regular advice and legal opinions over a wide range of subjects related to labor and social security law.
- Advised an oilfield industry in several labor lawsuits filed by expatriates and Brazilian employees, including graduated directors. With that guidance, the company has executed several favorable settlement agreements in labor suits with the most different pleads. Assisting the company yearly on the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements with Employees’ Union. Providing constant and regular advice and legal opinions over a wide range of subjects related to labor and social security law.
- Advised a geophysical services company in several very relevant labor lawsuits filed by Brazilian employees who plead the recognition of employment bond with the Brazilian company and Brazilian employees.
- Advised a manufacturing services company in important and strategic labor lawsuits filed against the company, including high level management employees and salesmen. Advising the company yearly on the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements with Employees’ Union. Providing constant and regular advice and legal opinions over a wide range of subjects related to labor and social security law.
- Analyzed labor and civil contingencies, liabilities and risks over the operations of a Fund towards major economic groups in which the Fund invests. Analyzed human resources and internal procedures of the companies in which the Fund has operations.
- Represented an agribusiness company in the acquisition of important assets by analyzing labor liabilities due diligence work involving complex litigation.
