Pedro Humbert is a senior associate in the Litigation and Restructuring practices of Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown in the São Paulo office.

Pedro has represented clients for more than 10 years in complex litigation and arbitration cases related to bankruptcy, energy, corporate and commercial contracts, and well as public law, and also has experience in sophisticated restructuring proceedings.

  • Representation of HSBC, the largest bank creditor to the bankruptcy of the OAS Group.
  • Representation of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Consultores Ltda. (as Bankruptcy Trustee) in the bankruptcy case (Chapter 11) of various groups, such as the OGX and OSX Groups, the Inepar Group, Novoespaço Group, and the Alumini Group.
  • Representation of bondholders in Odebrecht’s judicial reorganization (Brazil's largest ever bankruptcy).
  • Representation of Itaú BBA in Tomé Group judicial reorganization.
  • Representation of HSBC in Dirija Group judicial reorganization.
  • Representation of HSBC in BSM Group judicial reorganization.
  • Representation of HSBC in Granport Group judicial reorganization.
  • Representation of Export Development Canada in Wind Power Energia S.A. judicial reorganization.
  • Representation of Dow in ERB Energias Renovaveis do Brasil S.A. judicial reorganization.
  • Represented the interests of the Electricity Trading Chamber ("CCEE") in several lawsuits involving the energy industry, playing a key role in the unlocking of the Short-Term Market, which trades monthly more than R $5 billion.
