Bárbara Colaço is an associate in the Environmental practice of Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown in the Rio de Janeiro office. She advises both local and international clients on Brazilian environmental law and licensing. Bárbara has been involved in projects related to electric energy and oil and gas, infrastructure, industrial manufacturing industry, transportation, mining and solid waste.

- Conducts due diligence investigations on environmental and regulatory issues in general, and prepares reports on potential and existing environmental liabilities.
- Assisted in the environmental licensing of an important urban highway of the Municipality of Rio de Janeiro (Ligação Transolímpica).
- Represents clients in administrative and judicial proceedings before courts, environmental agencies and the Brazilian Public Prosecution Service in relation to environmental issues.
